<p>Jurnal Sepren merupakan jurnal yang mempublikasi kajian teori maupun hasil penelitian empiris terkait dengan pendidikan matematika dan matematika terapan. Jurnal Sepren menerima publikasi dari peneliti pendidikan matematika, peneliti matematika terapan, guru-guru matematika (SD, SMP, SMA), serta pemerhati pendidikan matematika dan matematika terapan. Jurnal Sepren diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), Universitas HKBP Nommensen. Jurnal Sepren terakreditasi SINTA, GARUDA, Google Scholar. <p style="font-weight: 400;">The success of nurturing a high-quality generation within a nation transcends mere academic achievements. The educational journey is envisioned as a crucial avenue for cultivating individuals with robust moral values applicable to their daily lives. Within the educational framework, mathematics holds a pivotal role in shaping students' character. To effectively in still character-building values, educators must craft well-designed learning experiences in mathematics. It is envisaged that through mathematical learning, students develop virtues such as diligence, critical thinking, and creativity. Mathematics, characterized by deductive reasoning, inherently fosters creative thinking among students. In daily life, the cognitive process of problem-solving underscores the significance of creative thinking, which involves synthesizing various patterns and approaches. Creative thinking finds practical application in tackling mathematical challenges, leading to the emergence of innovative solutions. <p style="font-weight: 400;">This article highlights the urgency of enhancing mathematics learning independence as a pillar of character education at the junior high school level. Focusing on students' lack of learning independence, the article explains the relevance of a positive attitude towards independent learning in the context of mathematical literacy. The article provides study findings that address influences on children's learning independence and achievement, including peer environment, learning motivation, family social interaction and school tactics, through a literature review. The findings demonstrate the important impact of learning independence in improving academic achievement. Improving learning independence can be done through the application of contextual learning models, social environment and parental support. This study offers several solutions, including the creation of creative learning models, evaluation of curriculum implementation that emphasizes learning independence, and interventions that focus on the causes of low independence. Future research is expected to make a real contribution in advancing mathematics learning independence at the junior high school level.</p>La RoyNur Robiah Nofikusumawati Peni

<p>Covid-19 adalah penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh coronavirus disease jenis baru, yaitu SARS-CoV-2. Oleh WHO, penyebaran Covid-19 telah ditetapkan sebagai pandemi global sejak 11 Maret 2020. Pada penelitian ini, penyebaran Covid-19 dimodelkan dengan menggunakan model matematika epidemik, yaitu model SEIR (Susceptible, Exposed, Infected, and Recovered) dengan memperhatikan faktor vaksinasi sebagai parameter. Selanjutnya, ditentukan titik ekuilibrium dan bilangan reproduksi dasar, serta diberikan analisis kestabilan pada model.</p> <p> </p>Tasya Dwi Liza
