Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of applying Effective Microorganism-4 (EM-4) and cow manure on the growth and production of two-measure varieties of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) plants on Ultisol soil. This study used a Factorial Group Random Design (RAK) consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely effective treatment of microorganisms-4 (EM-4) and cow manure. The EM-4 concentration treatment consisted of four treatment levels, namely: E0=0 ml/liter of water (control); E1= 18.6 ml/liter of water; E2=28.6 ml/liter of water (recommended dose) and E3=38.6 ml/liter of water. Cow manure treatment (S) consists of four levels of treatment, namely: S0 = 0 tons/ha or 0 kg/plot (control); S1 = 15 tons/ha equivalent to 2.25 kg/plot; S2=30 tons/ha is equivalent to 4.5 kg/plot and S3=45 tons/ha is equivalent to 6.75 kg/plot. The parameters observed were: pod production per plot (g/plot), weight of 100 dried dried seeds, seed production per plot (g/plot) and seed production per hectare (tons/ha). The results showed that EM-4 had no significant effect on the production of pods per plot (g/plot), the weight of 100 dried dried seeds, the production of seeds per plot (g/plot) and the production of seeds per hectare (tons/ha). Similarly, the dose of cow manure had no significant effect on the production of pods per plot (g/plot), the weight of 100 dried dried seeds, the production of seeds per plot (g/plot) and the production of seeds per hectare (tons/ha). The interaction between effective application of EM-4 and cow manure had no significant effect on all parameters.
